Warranty rust repairs

Featured Replies

Well that is my VRS booked in to Specialist cars in Aberdeen to get the sills, tailgate and both back quarter panels fixed under Skoda's anti corrosion warranty, Fair chuffed, big thanks to Dale Dunbar for giving me the heads up.

How long is the anti corrosion warranty please?

Ah ok Cheers. Nice work.

Normally picky arent they though?

I got spot of rust on boot but unfortunately looks like someone tried to touch it up before so thats out.

and when i asked about spot on arch they said it from a stone or small chip rubbing between bumper and arch and is therefor not covered lol.

No consistency in body warranty claims.

I just called up specialist cars, made an appointment, the guy there Phil was very good, took some photos, checked with a magnet to make sure there was no previous damage or filler, said he would send off the photos to Skoda and would be in touch. That was 3 weeks ago, he called today to say they had been given the go ahead to repair my car and I got it booked in. No problems at all.

Better than Edinburgh and Fife then.
