I've currently got the silver headlights and I'm really wanting to get the black ones fitted if possible! Would look so much nicer having a black headlights having the black roof.

Any ideas if it would just be a straight swap or would it be a little harder than that?

It would be harder.

The blackpack uses one bulb for both dip and high, and the silver has 2. So the wiring would be different.

Surely the headlamp connector is the same? The wiring inside the headlamp is different.

Don't have wiring diagrams, but could it be that the different headlamps just require setting correct bits in BCM?

The whole point of introducing integrated electrics module and later low output HIDs was to bring manufacturing of HID equipped car in line with halogen fitted one, including wiring.

It seems to be more trouble than its worth as although the black headlights look similar, they are in fact quite different!

 

Would it be easier to split apart the silver headlights and spray paint the silver internals black?

personally i'd stick silver, black looks good but being unable to see anything at night becomes tiresome
