RRG skoda rochdale master tech! brilliant

Featured Replies

so i phoned skoda rochdale yesterday afternoon and asked about my plugs being serviced they then got the master tech to give me a call back as no one was available at the time, he phoned me and i told him my car was approaching the 40k bench mark so i would like some new plugs fitted and an ecu update to latest MAP but before that i told him about the oil consumption and knocking in the gearbox that was logged on the 15k service bench mark and it had been recorded as "normal" he goes sir let me stop you there too be honest I've replaced two of these engines for oil consumption issues, before i let you WASTE money on changing the spark plugs bring your car in for a consumption test on monday and we will get the ball rolling, I've also noticed that my car was running weird while idle'ing the garage had put 95 ron in and in idle mode it seems to slow revs down judder and go back to normal revs you can feel it shaking and juddering but now on 99ron i can't feel the issue just every now and again and only a tiny judder like not even noticeable is this normal when fuel'ed with rubbish fuel?

he said first course of action is breather pipe mod then if that doesn't work full engine replace , hope i get a CTHE thats if the consumption is over the norm which the tech thinks it is  :) :) :) :)

Wonderful.  As it should be,

and as some Seat Dealerships have been acting for a while now, sorting out cars as they are presented to them.

& the dealership is paid handsomely for the Oil Consumption test & the Replacement of an Engine.

Mechatronic Control Unit, Clutch Packs, Service Campaign on the DSG etc.

Customer is sorted out, & dealership employees are kept busy,

& the Skoda Warranty has been used properly to ensure the buying public have cars fit for purpose.

You will not get a CTHE engine & CTHE ECU fitted in a CAVE Engine car as a replacement.

You may get a 'New CAVE' or actually a Refurbished from the VW Factory CAVE with Updated internal parts fitted.

Happy Christmas to all, and a wonderful New Year when it comes.

It is a Wonderful World when it all goes right.

has anyone else suffered weird idle'ing i.e juddering and feels like it was going to stall then picks back up ? or is that not normal either

Many have suffered it, as a quick search will show.

It is normal with faulty cars or ones not running correctly.

98 ron or better helps, the ECU update that should have been done, & good Spark Plugs.

Dealerships that tell you it is normal are not telling the truth, or are not familiar with the car, or just not as good as the Master Tech at

RRG Skoda Rochdale.

RRG are great. He did mine for me. Couldn't have been more helpful or professional.

Our old cave engined car used to judder a bit on start up and at 16k had new plugs, coil pack and fuel pump and after that I told the Mrs to only use v-power and never had any issues since. Our new CTHE car is brilliant nearly on 5k now and touch wood no problems at all in fact if I could afford to id chop my mk1 for another mk2 but with a few more toys :-)
