FABIA VRS MK2 MPG

Featured Replies

Plenty of people can break the manafactures figures for mpg

Hyper-milers are pretty good at it without taking any seats out

A coupla times in the mk1 vrs on a long journey I could see 73mpg average over a 100mile journey

No mods just reading the road ahead

As said before this was on maxidot so could be out by 20% which brings it to where Skoda claim

Lying? No

Bored stiff while doing it? Oh yes!

Stopped looking at mpg anymore, life's too short

Quite often it is not just trying to be boring but just that there is so much roadworks with 50 mph limits or doing a bity of time on the phone, hands free of course, so one cruises with the lorries in lane 1 or one works out one will actually get home quicker, and source the local and cheaper Momentum or Nitro, by cruising at the double nickel ie 55 as stopping one tends to loose atleast ten minutes by stopping to fill up it seems the wise move to keep crusiing economically rather than stop and fill-up and keep at the 70 mph.  Always feels good to not have stopped and pay the government £40 or so in tax!

They are quite amazing cars for being only 1390cc, Automatic Manuals & having 180 ps minimum available,

yet they can be as economic as even smaller engine cars.

They just need the 4 good F's,

Fuel, Fluids, Filter & Floor them occasionally but quite regularly to blow away the soot..
