Mk2 Vrs DRL

Featured Replies

hi all, anyone know where the best place is to get a replacement drl for a mk2. Mine seems to have cracked :(.

Also is it easy to replace and is it worth doing both as a new one will be crystal clear.

Thanks

Ebay & Breakers that advertise would be a good shout,

& price them at the Dealership Parts desk.

I have bought mine from Accident Damaged cars that were being broken, 2 up to now.

& i now put Clear Film over the DRL / Sidelight units to try and protect them a bit.

Worked so far.

I dont use them as DRL's only as Sidelights,

and i have not noticed any difference between old and new when they are on.

If there was, i would not really care, it is dark and they are only sidelights that people seem to think are Driving

lights or Fog lights anyway.

Thanks for the reply, they are on eBay for £41 each - is that similar to what you have paid.

Did you fit them yourself and was it easy-ish.

Thanks again

Very easy to fit. & yes i fitted them.

I never paid that, but then the seller had the car and never knew their price.

You have to take what you can get when you can.

Check out with Skoda, because they used to be on Back Order and i can not remember the price.

There are threads on here on replacing them,

& up in the Pinned Area a link to the Instructions & a thread with pictures.

Pull off the Plastic Cover and you will see how to remove them.
