Estates arriving at dealers now!

£2000 off is common already via the broker/dealer route. Be interesting to see how the new 1.4 drives. Looks great in white (although I don't get the whole black wheel thing tbh as it makes them look far too small) :)

Looks good,

but what a shame they still have Drums on the rear & the no protection beyond delivery undrercoat finish

The diesel has discs on the rear.

Tried 3 different brokers. 2 wanted a fee between £200 and £450, I don't pay fee's for work I can do myself!

The third would not even entertain taking my part ex, cos the prices were soooo low!

The deal I have now equates to the saving from the cheapest broker, so I am well happy.

The 1.4tdi drove very nicely, pulled well, and was much more refined than has been mooted.

Actually had quite a nice throaty growl under acceleration.

Over all, very impressed.

That's great but the ones Id use don't charge a fee - they take a small commission direct from the supplying dealer. When you say you can do the work yourself - they have specially agreed prices with the brokers so you wont get near as Jo Public unfortunately. Then again, Id never part ex, id sell privately and gain financially there also - yes, im a tight wad! :)

Looks lovely in white with the black alloys. Sooo wish there was a version with some poke available. The 1.2Tsi might be ok but I'm not sure I could stomach a 70bhp drop from our current vRS estate. :-(

Happens to be exactly the same colour and wheel combo as I have ordered!

On order:

Fabia 1.4tdi SEL dsg estate

Candy white

Black beam wheels

Jeans blue interior with white dash and steering wheel trim

Sunset glass

Rear electric windows

Heated front seats

Spare wheel

Very good part ex deal worth £1300 more than any other dealer

Rubber mats and boot liner free

4th year warranty free

Paint protection free

3 Yr servicing free

Superb deal!

Discounts are out there, shop around, my usual Skoda dealer who I have got my last 2 new cars from could not get anywhere close to this deal, which is disappointing.

Build week to be confirmed, but looks like being around week 10 which is early March.

Happy days!

looks like a mini Octavia estate but not too sure about the black wheels. What is the blue jeans interior/white dash like? I quite fancy that on a white hatch but would need to see it first.

Good news about the diesel being refined and pulling well. The press continues to have an aversion to diesel cars. Having had diesels for 20 years I find the thought of petrol option somehwat strange! Will I like it and I have to be stuck with it for 4 years at least. Is it sometimes better to go with what you like rather than the alternative less costly option which ultimately you may not like?

The cheapest broker didn't want a fee, but didn't want my part ex.

I am in negative equity with my current car, so I would have to fork out to sell it.

The best deal, by a country mile was negotiated by me with a dealer on this occasion.

Had a VRS mk2 Fabia also, was a great car, but this diesel really felt faster than I expected.

What dealer if you don't mind me asking ?

The interior was the only thing I wasn't sure about.

I definitely wanted the white dash though, and you cant currently have it with the black 'quilted' style seats.

looks good in the flesh, as an overall package it was very smart.

I've not had a diesel for ages, but will be keeping this one for many years, as I have a young family, and its obviously very practical in estate form.

That is why I have decided to plump for the spec and engine that I want.

There really is very little else out there like the car I have ordered.

Progress Skoda in Bedford.

Very helpful, recommended.

I should say that the estate in the picture is a SE spec not an SEL in case anyone goes over there.

I'm going down to my local dealer on Saturday to have a nosey, if I could get a good deal that I was happy with then I'd be tempted now.

Wheels look too small for the car imo

If the wheels were bigger the outside circle of the tyres will still be the same size.

That might still be sitting like on stilts with its transportation blocks not yet removed.

A couple more pics of the estate from the dealer.

Pictures don't do it justice, it is really quite angular, almost sporty looking in the flesh.

They do look good in Estate Form IMO.

I previously called them the 'Skoda Maybia'.

But 'Skoda Origami' might have been an idea for Skoda to have run with.

The Design Department maybe just used Etch a Sketch & Folded Card in the design process.

Saw one today. Looks a lot more sporty than I imagined them to look. Shame they're so expensive. Salesman agreed.

I know, I bought one of the last Mk1 vRS's (non special edition) and paid £12,200. And that was pretty much top spec, sprint yellow Xenons the lot. Now the cheapest Mk3 is only £1500-£1800 less!!! I don't get where VW are going with Skoda. They build them up make them a huge success and then try to kill them off 'cos they are stealing VW sales??

I have to say that the discounts would have to be pretty hefty to make that affordable. I specked up an sel estate and it was damn near mid spec Octavia money

They had a 'top spec' one in the dealership today... 18 ****ing grand. I laughed! I said you could get a polo GTi for that, **** you could get a second hand Focus ST, Civic Type R, Golf Gti etc etc, the list is endless. The guy agreed again! He said for that money you're looking at an ex demo octavia Vrs...

Crazy. They need to get a grip!

Going to have a look at the new Fabia tomorrow, hopefully there'll be an estate to view but whilst doing some research on possible deals I found some cracking offers on the Seat Leon ST 1.2 TSI SE with Tech Pack and on the Ibiza ST 1.2 TSI FR. It's going to take some serious discounting and haggling with Skoda to match them.

I really want a Fabia estate so I'll test the water but the Leon ST offer has got me seriously tempted.

skoda telford rang and told me they have had a red estate will be going tomorrow to see it also burtwood skoda has just had one in to will check both out

It was a PCP deal, £215 deposit and £215 a month and the Ibiza was £200 deposit and £195 a month.
