Featured Replies

Took fabia to dealers to look at scraping from front when on full lock.turns out the track rod ends were fitted the wrong way . both front wheel now scrap as badley scored all way round .the work was done at another skoda dealer under warranty as track rods had a recall.the repair work isnt getting done there!

Any thoughts anybody?

Skoda garage rather not say which one just yet

So does this go all the way back to November when they did Warranty Work.?

Any reason given by the Work Shop Manager or Master Technician for the Technician that did the Visual Inspection & Road Test at last weeks Service not noticing?

December it was does seem strange the noise only started last friday

Exactly,

so ask in Writing for Explanations in Writing, from this Dealership & the Dealership that did the Warranty Work.

Warranty Work is Guaranteed, and paid for by Skoda UK,

so ask Skoda UK who they are going to have do the Warranty Work for you,

& ask them to compensate for your time, if the job was done wrongly.

The Same Rate the Dealership Charges is about right for your wasted time,

Skoda can get that back from their Franchised Dealerships Workshop.

You said done as a Recall, but there is no 'Recall' is there, was there a Recall Letter, or is it part of a 'Service Campaign' ?

Dont think actual recall as such just if a squeak or goan was heard from steering at low speed which mine did

Hmmmm, mine does that sometimes

What a complete **** up. The track rod ends bend towards the front of the car. To fit them the wrong way round ...straight after removing the old item's.

Unbelievable !.

Yes just a bit! Think I might get in touch with skoda uk and see what they think

Is this cause for others to check them do we think? Mine makes a scraping and ive had various parts replaced. If its these track rod ends the wrong way round. Somekne is having one thrown at them. Cost me 150+ so far. My offside front corner is in amazing condition now though as most of its new.
