Intercooler for the Vrs

Featured Replies

I'm looking at getting a bigger intercooler and woundering If it's a good idea to go custom or forge?

You mean custom as a cheaper solution or custom as a more expensive approach that will provide more gains? In my opinion, Forge and APR ones are ridiculously over-priced. There's plenty of no-name FMICs that give similar gains and cost 1/2 or 1/3 of that price. And I know that these have been used in full stage 1/ stage 2 or even bigger turbo conversions (1.4 TSI) with great results.

It's to lower the cost as I do agree that forge and apr are to expensive. I'm planing on goin to stage 2.

You would probably be just as fine with less well-known coolers then. Of course, wherever you choose to go in the end, it makes sense to try and find out about the quality of their products or ask other people that have used them beforehand.

Has anyone looked at the intercooler from a 2.0 Tdi yeti yet there huge

Yeti is not the same platform, I wonder if it would fit (without big modification)

hmm the airtec allmost looks the same as mine but costs a bit more

some links to these cheaper alternatives would be good , I'm still going to go with airtec me thinks
