Roof bars on hatch vrs

Featured Replies

Has anyone any advice on whats the best ones to get and if you have any pictures. I am a roof slater and love the vrs to much to get rid of it for a van. Just for moving 3 tier ladders about.

I got genuine skoda bars on mine should be a pic in my gallery with a roofbox on them not a vrs but a Tdi hatch same mounting points

Thule black edition wing bars are the best, that's it. 100kg maximum

The skoda ones are Thule

Just be aware that the bars might be 100kg max, and that weight might be OK,

but the Skoda given for mk2 Fabia is 'Max roof Kg 75'.

I've had about 95kg on the roof before and was alright

Of coarse it was and is.

But you just need to be aware of the weights the manufacturers give, because an Insurance Assessor will check if say there was some accident or the likes.

It does not matter if it does not matter to anyone and they want to load up a roof, but say you put on bars and a roof box you need some idea what it all weighs.

I used the Thule kit. Bought it all of eBay for a tiny price compared to new. Only thing I had to buy was the fitting kit. Which is nice as Skoda has a recess hole for lining the bars up perfectly.

Only thing I didn't like was the outer door seal being deformed slightly as is left mine on for over a year. Ended up getting an estate with roof rails. So I've got a fitting kit lying around somewhere.
