Another reason to avoid EBC pads

Featured Replies

We all know EBC have a bad reputation but in recent years there's been a big push on them apparently improving quality.

I had unit 18 fit some yellowstuff pads just over a year ago, didn't think they are that great so recently I swapped them for standard bremebo pads (difference is huge) and discoverd this on 2 pads!!

Gave unit 18 a ring just to let them know in case other customers might have this and go unnoticed until it it's 2 late. Ali told me it's happened to a few others and EBC always give a load of rubbish and refuse a refund so has stopped using them (and said I could have some ds2500 at trade price for inconvenience :)

I might send these pictures too EBC just to see what excuse they'll come up with.

Ebc have always been crap.

Ferrodo ds2500 are one of the best choices but a very dusty I found

I got the pads from eurocarparts through work. I'd avoid the pagid as we've had issues with them.

Sorry no part number as my brakes are tarox 6pot and use a Mercedes G wagon shape pad.

  • 2 weeks later...

That's a bit disconcerting :o

Not that much wear on them either.
