connected to VCDS tuning shop at my request have changed my brakes from STOCK to CALM. I presume you use OFF (for race track)

In what scenarios would you use STRONG. In my opinion stock is too harsh.

As i said stock is too harsh & does not feel like i am in full control over the brakes & i have uprated brakes to EBC's easily capable of the OFF track settings, so please try answer the question or maybe you cant cos you dont know what it means to a fabia 'cave man'

 

CAVE settings are smaller range than CTHE. I believe CTHE Fabia is a rating of 1 to 10 on brake assist.

 

In what scenario would you use 'strong' or want to change it to that? 

 

 

 

 

Somebody who has driven a CAVE and CTHE track day maybe.

As I stated in my first post, I have no idea or knowlage to what you want to do with the settings Stock, Calm, strong or what ever with the brakes

 

I was interested in what are the benefits if any of altering the settings

 

I asked a simple question and was hoping for a simple reply.

only someone with VCDS will know who has adjusted or track day enthusiasts. i just have hunch that the 'calm setting' will feel better to me, give more control in everyday (not racing environment)

 

weird settings no wonder they changed it to 1-10 (on cthe)

 

Brakes are fine IMO.

 You want the XDS to as off as you can to stop the brakes / fluid overheating, so soft or what ever.

just changed it to CALM and no back pressure from the brake pedal now, not sure if that is coincidence or not.
