Rallye Green Powder Coat Equivalent

Featured Replies

Hello so i am looking at re-coating some 17'' gigaro's with a powder coat specialist local to me but he says he cant use the solvent based clostermann paint that was the perfect match.

So i need to find the closest match of powder coat equivalent (or slightly darker green to the standard rallye green)

The Skoda Metallic Rallye green is F6Z/ 9585 + Clear coat

Anyone tried a powder coat before and have nearest RAL no?

The alloys will be blasted & stripped then, primed then powder coat, then clear coat.

thanks

I think it will be a case of closest match....why cant you get them painted instead?

Company doing them is powder coat only and does give amazing finish - £140 for 4 alloys as well if std black (no tyres)

got some ral charts arriving to work on tuesday so it will be case of nearest match and ordering a box of green powder from somewhere.

will post it when figure it out.

Found the closest match to Rallye Green in powder coat format is RAL 6038, also has 6019 and some grey mixed in as it is metallic. (Used a specialist digital scanner at work)

So ral 6038 is the 'best' match.

Ive some second hand alloys arriving soon from a member on here, then my set can go onto the Wife's Monte MK3. Will update in project thread as need to find some new tyres.... to go on the re-coated 'green' wheels.

Settled on RAL 6018 with some 'silver flecks' in Powder Coat.

This is what they have come out like, will update project thread when got round to fitting!

The wheels are on! Will take some better perspective scenic photo's in project thread. Really impressed.

So this is Ral 6018 powder coat with silver flecks, if its sunny the alloys look brighter (along with original metallic rallye bodywork)

So when weather is dull like today the alloys dont stand out TOO much. The other green 6038 was like kawasaki green which would have been too bright.
