Fabia VRS 2010 mk2 DSG oil changes

Featured Replies

I can see in my book since 2010 it was changed once in 2014 when the software update was complete do you think gearbox oil on the DSG is needed again or should it last a long time anyway?

On My Octavia mk3 vRS I had the DSG oil changed last year (service) around 35,000 miles which was just after the car being 3 years old, for me as a rule of thumb, I would prefer the DSG oil changed every 20,000 miles from this point on.

What mileage have you done since the last DSG oil change in 2014? If you have done 20,000 miles from 2014 to present, then I personally would have the DSG oil changed.

change was at 41,148 now at 59,600

Might be an idea to ask these things in the Fabia MK2 section.

Again Pinned Threads & others,

search is DSG Recall etc

The Mk2 vRS is a DQ200 DSG which has no Service Schedule or Guidelines and the oil is in for life, no oil changes at 40,000 miles.

But then there was a World Wide Recall excluding the Europe. (not in the world.)

Then a Service Campaign in Europe, started May 2014 with Skoda UK.

So the Synthetic Oil from the Factory was changed to mineral and a software update of the DSG ECU done.

Service Campaign '34F7'  and a sticker in the boot.

So OIl in for life, unless VW decide again they messed up.

Then the Mineral OIl in the DQ200 from the factory seems to have caused an issue, so from late 2016, Service Campaign 34H5 on some DQ200 DSG 2013-2015,

Software Update.

Long and short, DQ200 DSG 2009-2017 7 speed Twin Dry Cluch does not get OIl / Filter Servicing and oil changes.
