Replacing sidelight bulbs

Featured Replies

Embarrassed to post this one but how the hell do you get the sidelights bulbs out on a mkII vRS. I have taken the cap off but then for the life of me I can't figure out how to get the bulb out the headlight unit

None to replace there.  That Blue bulb is a dummy one.

(Cap off is the Head light bulb, or on early vRS, there are 2 Dipped & Full Beam bulbs.)

your sidelights and DRL units are down low. DRL unit dimmer as the sidelights

So is it the headlight bulb or bulbs you want to replace?

That is fun, push and twist, and with the dipped beam bulb on the older vRS that is real fun but easier at the passenger side / battery side if right handed,

drivers side seems impossible, then you just get it done and all is well with the world.

Hmm now I'm confused got the light on the dash saying a bulb is out only thing I could see was the sidelights bulbs which turn out to be dummy ones

Sometimes the common thing is DRL corrosion bad connection & wet weather.

Or,

One of the rear Number plate bulbs.
