280hp Kodiaq

Featured Replies

Bloody ridiculous. Would've happily paid more for the 280PS TSI over the 190PS TDI

I'd be all over that if we could get it! Although I'd imagine it wouldn't even be remotely cheap...

Well, in Ireland we can get the Superb in 2.0 TSI 280bhp with 4x4 DSG only, which is €2,150 more than the equivalent diesel Superb with a 2.0TDI 190bhp 4x4 DSG

Its not a massive jump over the 190 diesel in the same config. Of course, our annual road tax is €570 a year as opposed to €280 and your insurance would take a nice bump too.

If they did the same on the Kodiaq, it wouldn't be too bad. No sign of it here either - unless they want to add a VRS after the Sportline orders have dried up a bit.

The Kodiaq SportLine is available to order now (fur coat, no knickers, as they say!)... and rumour is the 280PS Kodiaq vRS will be released later in 2018.

Probably would be around £1.5-2k, which for many would be expensive, but imo would be worth it

I'd pay a premium for this engine too.

Seems like I'll need a change of career if I want to drive one!

I’ve seen a few articles suggesting £40k for the vRS version. Unlikely the engine will be available on other trims.

We are getting some of these at the Ambulance trust I work for, looking forward to seeing them and having a go too!

How much!?

Now there's a brave private buyer.

Alfa Romeo dealerships will have one at least in the showroom and then 'The Demonstrator' it will be out and about. Just like with the KIa Stinger.

There will always be those leasing one, maybe buying those Ex Management cars, and Alfa Romeo making sure enough are firsts registered each Quarter,

how many actually 'Buy them with Cash Money' other than the manufacturer / Finance division will be interesting to know.

I too am longing for the vRS to be launched, although I may have to settle for a Sportline. I was trawling the net this evening and came across this artists impression on a German Skoda forum.

If it looks anything like this, then I'm going to have to wait.

Ended up back here after Offski posted a link to this topic in another one... and finally worked out why the vRS won't look like that (other than it's just some fanboy's drawing in a magazine):

The lower half of the front grille is straight from a Scirocco R - don't see them using the same design on a Skoda!

It's basically the same as the octavia vrs too but I guess that's not a bad thing. Unless they do a manual version though, I'm not interested
