I realise this may have been asked before, however, I'd like some advice/guidance, I'm looking to come back to Skoda but a MkII vRS this time. Any specific advice on things to look out for when looking at used ones?

Dont !!

You only live once & you are a long time dead.

If you like a gamble there is loads of smiles per miles if you get a good one and they are as cheap as chips.  

 

You can buy a stinker of a 1.2 TSI with Fundamental Design, Manufacturing, Material / Component parts, and also have a lemon.
