Karoq Order Times (2 factories now)

SurreyJohn

Recommended Posts

Skoda has revealed that due to high demand they are now making Karoq at 2 factories

Production of Karoq started at Kvasiny last summer, but due to high demand now also making upto 320 Karoqs at Mladá Boleslav (which also makes Fabia, Rapid and Octavia)

Hopefully people can add order and build week (and any options) so that others can see delivery times (and any options delaying their order)

I ordered my 1.5 DSG Edition in quartz grey with optional heated screen and steering wheel, assistance pack 1 and space saver wheel.

Ordered on 12th January and had a call last night to say its build week 8 commencing 19th Feb and should be ready to collect end of March.

Which 7 options did you go for?

My guess: -

1. Heated washer nozzles/windscreen.

2. Spare wheel.

3. 5 year warranty.

4.Canton sound system.

5.Family pack. Change to front isofix seat.

6. Auto lights. Change to heated steering wheel.

7. Adaptive cruise. Change to Assistance pack.

Marks out of seven are?

Mine was below:

1 Heated steering wheel

2 Heated rear seats

Personalisation of drive mode selection

4 Adaptive cruise control

5 Family pack

6 Isofix attachment on front seat

7 spare wheel

8 5 year warranty

Unfortunately the assistance pack last year was £1200 across all models which was crazy but now it's fairly priced and costs of the Adaptive cruise control will cover the costs of AP1 on Edition.

Four out of seven and close on a couple more.:D I did not put heated rear seats as I have had them for the last ten years and can count on one hand how many times they have been used. So I would not choose them again.

Best of luck with the car when it comes.

I'm not sure if all are aware, but if you order the Canton Sound System you loose the useful dashboard top storage due to a large speaker needing the space.

Colin

That’s good news, one less dark hole to store junk. A large speaker makes much better use of a big hole in the dashboard ;0)

Ordered 15th Jan

2.0TDI DSG 4x4 SE-L

Candy White

Space Saver Spare Wheel

Advised on ordering to expect mid-April delivery.

Advised today the car hasn’t been allocated a build week yet.

Similar to the above:-

Ordered 10th January

2.0TDi DSG 4x4 SE-L

Cappuccino

ACC (Adaptive Cruise control)

Heated screen

Beige Interior

Advised on ordering to expect early April delivery.

Advised after two days I could only have beige interior if I upgraded to leather. Don't want leather, hence not getting Edition spec. (see elsewhere about lack of availability of beige alcantara)

Advised Monday (29th Jan) allocated build week 12 and expect delivery mid-April. This is a pain as my current lease is up on 28th March and no option to extend.

i been told that my car is on ship now but they still cant give me precise time scales, even by weeks, so i got generic 3 weeks estimate, really?

Can someone who already received it comment with their experience?

Ours was released from the factory on 6th December and arrived at the Dealer on 22nd, but at that time Skoda had been holding them back at the port (Emden). It looks as though it shipped from Emden on the 15th and was in the dealer 7 days later. Ours will have come via Newcastle as it's a Scottish Dealer.

Just got off the phone with Skoda UK.... I've been allocated build week 11, week beginning 12th March. :-)

Haven't heard anything yet from Skoda so nipped in the dealers yesterday as we were passing. BW9 allocated on an order signed 22/01. Happy with that.

I signed on the 'dotted line' on the 25th Jan so hopefully my dealer will have some encouraging news for me this afternoon.

(I've just phoned him and he's calling back)
