The Vision X press conference video is on there to watch too.

Fugly looking front lights on the new Fabia, seems the Mk3 had it just right! Change for change sake and pushing sales as always.

preview brochure

good find though

Yes I just realised it's a preview.

I guess the full brochure will be out shortly.

Nothing in that brochure that suggests revised model is going to be much different, few minor tweaks, couple of extra safety systems (which may be cost options or only included on top spec), basically nothing to make majority of people want to wait for new model, over current version.

In my opinion a holding design, using engines changed last year, until they can get a completely new version on the latest VW floor pan in about 3 years.

My current deal runs out in September,  so Looking like Seat Arona for me, especially as I spec’d a 1.0 DSG Fabia and it is £19k which gets me all new alternative.

Truth of the matter, the manufacturers make a big deal about the floor plans.

What makes the difference is what dampers, springs and tyres go onto that floor plan.

The Arona is good, easy in easy out and the 1.0tsi is nice, but the 1.5TSI EVO nicer, more expensive.

*SEAT usual, do not pay the RRP,  £2,000-£3,000 discounts available on them, buy as keepers because in the UK depreciation is just as usual with SEAT.*

Yesterday the Skoda dude said, '19 new Skoda Models by the end 2020'.    so that will be 3 or 4 versions of 6 or 7 models.   not '19 models'.

If you just keep waiting there will always be something new, and if you wait a year or 3 more there will be a facelift and they might sort out the snagging faults.

My 16 plate 1.2  DSG is now considered old in the eyes of a dealer and the facelift will have devalued it somewhat.

I wonder if there'll be bigger discounts on the 'old' models coming?

Discounts on every model of every manufacturers cars not 'Real World Co2 g/km tested before September 2018'.

Loads of vehicles productions will stop, petrols and diesels'.

I wonder why the car magazines are not saying that,

is it because they only exist because of advertising from Car Manufacturers?

Lots of new platforms coming from lots of manufacturers because they are ready for new drivetrains with Petrol / Hybrid or pure EV.

But that’s all a facelift ever is. A light refresh to update a model that’s Mid-life so it doesn’t fall too far behind the competition.  Why would you expect anything more?

My deal runs out early 2019 and, given the way Skoda prices are going, I'm seriously considering Toyota.....not least for the 5 year/100,000 mile standard full factory warranty.  SWMBO has a Toyota Hybrid and it is a seriously good bit of kit; utterly snag free in it's first year and a nicer place to be than the Citigo. Local dealer is also a gem, actually tries to make doing a deal easy rather than the udual teeth-sucking disdain experienced in some other places. We shall see.
