KESSY QUESTION

Featured Replies

never had a KESSY system I was wondering as both my wife and I both carry a set of keys sometimes when we go out and may leave a set in the car ,will it still be possible to lock it?

Yes, it still locks and can't be opened just because there's a key inside. However, the logic behind taking a spare key with you and leaving it in the car when locked escapes me.

Never a good idea to leave a key in the car..

think of the insurance aspect of it...

Surprised insurers don't charge more if you have KESSY. According to the tabloids it does make it easier to steal your car off the driveway.

It defo is.

They should all have ghost immobilisers too.

Won't be long before the Ghost is cracked, now they're building in iphone app bypass security so that you don't need to key in a pin as long as you have your phone with you and Bluetooth turned on.

thanks for the advice,i know its not a good idea to leave any keys in cars but it sometimes happens that way, we attend some events at private venues (no not dogging) in case somebody wondered and it sometimes occurs over many acres of land, as we usually carry them with us so try to eliminate any problems most times .

As an observation - when I wash the C4P with the key in my pocket, the water flowing over the door handle keeps locking/unlocking but not if I leave it in the car.

The Astra doesn’t have KESSY and now I wish it did.........bit sad really

Since you are each carrying a key, why not just keep carrying them?

Saves worrying and is 50% less likely to leave you stranded if one of you drops/loses a key...
