Meteor Greys

Featured Replies

Me again!

I ordered my Karoq yesterday and originally decided to go for a Cappu Beige but as it's no longer available I wen't for the Quartz Grey.

I now have cold feet as I'm very much going on and off the Quartz and am thinking about changing it to a Meteor Grey as there's just something about them that I'm liking more and more.

Could anyone show me pics of the Meteor Grey, I know it's on front of the Karoq brochure but it's not very realistic.

Many thanks.

X

Hi Iceylady, sorry this is the best I could do. not good at staying within the lines. Sorry only kidding. I personally love the Meteor Grey however I opted for Moon White in the end and absolutely love it. If i had not bought the Karoq, I would have gone for an Octavia vrs and that would have been Meteor Grey though !! best of luck to you

If you search on YouTube for skoda karoq meteor grey there is a video or 2 that I believe is that colour. If steel grey is the same as meteor grey then the first video definitely is.

I have watched the Auto Trader Tour from Prague to London which is excellent, however they use a cinematic overlay and I'm worried it's not a realistic representation.

Thanks though!

A Google image search should do the trick...

This is Meteor Grey in the UK, Solid Grey. (not Steel Grey).

Ive seen a few on google most are either digital, retouched or inside show rooms. There are a couple so I have an idea of what it looks like but I still feel like its quite a brave colour to go for so im hoping for some user photos :)

Offski that's the one I was referring to, he says steel grey in the video though...

So!! I put my brave pants on and have officially changed the colour to Meteor Grey. Thank you all so much for your help but I have to say it was Jimhem81's picture that won us over in the end! :D

Hi IceyLady, not a Karoq, but my current car (Octavia) is Meteor Grey. I've attached a few pics in different lights.

I think it looks great but think it suits a sporty/vRS type car more than the standard spec though. Still would have been tempted by it for the new Karoq but thought I'd better change up!

I love it! I agree it looks lovely on the sporty type. I went for the 19" Craters which give the Karoq a more sporty appearance so I'm very excited about the result.

Thanks for the pics!

Good stuff! Missed the previous message saying you've gone for it already sorry - sure you'll be chuffed with it.

Another great thing about the Meteor Grey (certainly over Quartz) is that you dont notice the dirt nearly as much (perhaps as its not metallic??) It certainly the lowest maintenance car I've had in terms of washing it!

No need to apologise! I really appreciate the pictures, they look great. The resilience to dirt is definitely a bonus.

Is it me or does it look to have a hint of beige in the sunlight.

I think that Meteor Grey is the same as Steel Grey on other markets.

So, here is my Steel Grey. I'm just loveling it..

That’s what I’ve been seeing too. I think thats just how it reflects sunight because when you see pictures of it in snow, it looks more like a cool grey.

Just registered to attach a photo of my meteor grey Karoq for reference, this is in overcast conditions and yes it does get slightly more 'greige' in strong sunlight.
