That’s bad, notice the same on fords too.

Is this common on some or all Karoq? Have you looked into it?

Hope mine doesn’t turn up like that

Call into your nearest dealership or send the pictures and they can arrange the inspection and then Skoda UK can agree the quality control is sh!te, arrange the inspection of the rest of the vehicle and the refinishing / painting of the missed bit.

Highlight of my evening will be checking this tonight :blush

In the future anyone inspecting that car would be assuming a repair had been done and poorly prepared and painted panels fitted.

That would not be acceptable at an 'VW Approved Bodyshop' & is unacceptable from Skoda CZ's factory.

Probably just me, what are we looking at?

The upper edge of the wing around the bonnet hinges?

Or around the hinges of the front doors?

Any chance of a photo from a little further away?

All my Skoda's over the years have had primer showing under the bonnet along the tops of the wings and bonnet hinges.

+1 My wifes Zetec S is shocking in the door shuts.  Looks like a white car with blue overspray; a noticeable difference in the coverage and quality of the finish in these areas.

My car is white so I’ll probably think it’s a bit of dirt ...

Just checked mine after collection and it’s normal and all painted. I would defiantly take that back as that’s bad quality.

I see, thank you.

checked my petrol blue one last night , seems like it is completely painted with no sign of primer .

Their dealership person with the paint thickness measurement implement can get it out.  (no jokes about 12" but does not use it as a rule.)

Just to see if that is the Factory line paint, or a Factory Repair before leaving the factory or a wing replaced from In Transit damage.

So they can be sure, and those pictures and your pictures to Skoda UK should then have the car inspected and then an arrangement made to have it painted to Factory Standard, Not Friday Car Factory Standard.   They can see what shift was doing the painting and then they will know for the future just incase every there are other poorly painted vehicles.

(Memories of Zinc Inclusion and pathetic Quality Control from the factory, but this is a minor issue, and one they can address easily.)

is it all paint colours that are suffering or is it just energy blue ??

1 member 1 car is it not so far?

Could the affected area be highlighted i can only see one problem area I think?

I remember a similar problem with some Skoda Rapid's from the first model year. In that case it was not colour dependant, it is possible is was on just one of the painting stations at the production line (wrong settings for the paint spray robot).

Its  a bracket that attaches the wing to the body

My quartz grey is as bad if not worse. Also looking in the front wheel arches,  past the shocks, the inner wings are just grey primer. Is this common or unusual?

Forgot to check yesterday when I collected it.

Tried getting a picture but the contrast and bright sun make it unclear.

Picture added.
