Škoda Fabia Monte Carlo FL 2019

Featured Replies

Hi all, here's my review of the new Fabia FL Monte Carlo. I must say I am not impressed! Feels so cheap for Škoda car, considering how good are other models.

What do you think? Personaly VW Polo Beats looks better, especialy the GTI. Still no RS version!
Do you think Škoda will kill Fabia model with new hatch premir Vision RS in Paris?

Rapid RS looks like front of a golf Scirocco and back of a Volvo, saw it in magazine, full release Paris motor show in few weeks. Not in English but here a vid link

VW Polo in the UK list prices shows starting at £14,235 and VW have none showing as WLTP Approved http://volkswagen.co.uk/owners/wltp

If you want a Polo GTI then that is what you buy, they have been well priced from 2015 when they brought in the 1.8TSI and the 2.0tsi still a bit of value for the build and performance.

Skoda Fabia Prices start about £12,840 UK list so you pays your money and make your choices.

Skoda CEO said 19 new models before the end of 2020, and that was maybe really the various combinations of the 9 i read that Skoda said were coming.

So who knows, if the Citigo goes with the UP! / Mii to come back including the EV, so maybe heavier / bigger.

Maybe there is the Rapid / Fabia platform model and the Small SUV version of that.

I know Rapid is important for Skoda & India and elsewhere, but surely even Skoda must know that some hear Rapid and think, no it is not just small Octavia / Taxi and poor ride.

Spaceback they think, less space than an actual estate and poor ride and handling.  Rapid's just Sister cars to the SEAT.

Surprised that you do reviews and Skoda reviews and do not know what the 'Simply Clever' piece of plastic is that was in the boot.  Complete and ready to fit.

That Rubber at the bottom of windows is a special feature, it lets inside the doors fill with H2o sometimes.

1999 since the Fabia started and this all new 3rd Generation Face Lift is the 5th version or so, so hopefully finally no steamy cabins or water running out the doors /sills or if the door was not opened freezing the doors closed or in the doors.

Nets on seats were on the Fabia before there were Skoda SUV's so not imported from them.

I am thinking this vision RS is more of short Octavia, Golf alike. I must say I like it a lot! Hope the final version of the car won't be much different from the concept.
This has lots of edges and sport details i like. Especially in interior. If the use more premium materials Škoda would actual get in front of VW and behind Audi. I am planing to go to Paris and make a video.

Which is why i wondered why you mention it and mention the possible demise of the Fabia.

Is there no Pre Facelift Fabia at that dealership to review or compare the Face Lift to?

You should search out a Mk2 Fabia vRS and drive one, and maybe a VW Polo GTI Twincharger as well.

What’s the new Polo and the Vision RS got to do with the facelift Fabia?

The Polo looks nice, it is good that there are choices though, VW, Skoda, SEAT or Audi and basically the Drivetrains are the same and you decide what you want the plastics & seats in the cars to feel like.
