Okay guys I have been looking through eBay for some second hand track tyres in standard vRS size 205/40/17 but do any other tyres fit the standard wheels?

Was thinking 215 might fit?

I'd imagine 215's will fit as long you ain't lowered a serious amount, I run 205/45's for the extra comfort (not that it makes much difference) 

215 /40 is fine better grip, run them all the time car is lowered as well

The Polo GTI and Ibiza both have 215/40, they put narrower tyres on the vRS to save money and slow it down.

These are 215/40 R 17 Winters on standard height suspension.

 

 

 

On the Gigaro's these Tigar & Goodride tyres are 215/40 R 17, & on the Volvo wheels are 215/45 R 17's.  Big difference in size.  But Pirelli Zero Nero 205/40 R 17 can measure bigger side by side than some 215/40 R 17 or 205/45 R 17's of different brands.
