Inspection Reset

Featured Replies

Hi all

Done and oil change on the wife’s Fabia but can’t get rid of the is inspection message.

I have tried the Holding down the 0.00 button, switching on the ignition and pressing the left button. I seem to have been able to reset the service mileage back to 10000 but when switching on the ignition again it bongs and show the spanner and says inspection still.

i also saw on here someone said  said about doing the same thing with the hazard lights on to clear the inspection but no joy.

I dont have the full matrix just trip counter etc

can anyone advise

Thanks

Glenn

turn hazards on, hold down the 0.0 button then switch on the ignition.

So just retried

hold down 0.00 inspection is displayed, presses other button and spanner goes off. Switch off ignition and back on again and it bings and spanner is back with inspection

Do the reset sequence with hazard warning lights turned on to reset inspection message.

We were advised by Ingram Skoda and Parks Skoda that the Inspection Service reset could only be performed by a main dealer.

Unfortunately, both misdiagnosed a white flashing spanner in the PRNDS area of the mfd as referring to an inspection service, when in fact it was to let me know the mechatronic unit had failed.

'They' would advise that.

Luckily the likes of a Mk2 Fabia vRS is easy to reset when on Fixed Servicing.  just do the reset to another 372 days / 9,400 miles as Oil Changes are done etc.

Ok so finally managed to get this sorted. I was holding in the 0.00 until the screen beeped and displayed inspection and then pressing the other button.

The way to do it is hold the 0.00 button, switch in ignition and as soon as you have done that releaser the 0.00 and press the other button.

All fixed.

Cheers all

I just did this Glenn- hazards on, hold down 00 button, turn ignition on then release 00 button and immediately press left button. Switch off hazards and turn off ignition. Thats it done.

I wrote this to help everyone as I tried following what had been written and it was not clear.
