Finally some snow!

Featured Replies

So, we finally got some snow here in the Beacons. Had a chance to try the Yeti out on her winter tyres (when I bought her in March 2018 we had snow but she was on those daft Dunlop sp01 tyres so couldn't really comment on performance in snow).

Found a steep track nearby that had completely frozen over (temperature was minus 3 at time of filming).

Earlier on I had observed a Defender and a Landcruiser tackling it and I just had to have a go (I'm a driving assessor with the ambulance service so I know my way around a car, so not too worried there).

As you can see, she performed extremely well. Lots of confidence instilled!

Video doesn't really show how steep the track is but I would never have attempted it in my last car, with or without winter tyres!

Roll on "proper" snow.

Adam.

Drive and estate covered with a sheet of frozen rain. No issues at all on winter tyres. I would not have got up my steep drive in previous Greenline with summer tyres.
