DQ200 flywheel replacement

Featured Replies

Hi all.

My Octavia received a replacement flywheel under warranty in January at roughly 26k, it’s now been diagnosed with a faulty clutch pack at 40k which is getting replaced in a couple of weeks.

I can’t remember where but I read on a forum that a faulty clutch pack can potentially damage the new flywheel.

Is this true? I mentioned it to the dealer who said they will inspect the flywheel when the clutch is replaced as they can’t replace parts under warranty unless faulty so if they changed my clutch pack at the same time as the flywheel they wouldn’t be reimbursed by Skoda.

I’m sure my clutch has been dodgy since the day I got the car but as the symptoms have only recently become regularly noticeable this is the first time it’s been properly diagnosed by the dealer.
