The fact that it concerns an engine family that continued production until 2017, should be enough to justify its inclusion in this section I’d say. A few instances were reported across the marques for early versions of the 1.2TSI 16V and VW Group made no comment etc - that comment covers Polo 6C, Ibiza 6J and this version of Fabia and other users of the later 1.2TSI 16V engine.
