On the Swedish Scala configurator, there is an option to raise the suspension by 15mm (Off-road package) and also an option to lower the suspension by 15mm (Sports package).

 

Are there similar options for the UK market?

You can only order the Scala in Sweden with 17" or 18" wheels. There is no option to order 15" or 16" wheels, except for an option for a 15" spare wheel.

Russian market Rapids were 15mm higher than UK ones. Skoda UK offered a dealer fit 30mm lower spring set on Rapids.

With Skoda they have media packs and figures with clearance etc.

You never know what is actually to do with more clearance or less until you measure the height from the road to the roof not including roof rails.

 

Motoring journalists go on about higher or lower suspension, more clearance then drive the lower model and talk about handling.

Maybe they should get out a tape measure and forget the boot space and compare the models from road to roof of the exterior.

10 mm or 15m can be the difference just between Ooo & Ahhh.  Nice to have an extra 0.59 inch.

Even more so 40m ...1 1/2" more...

 

 

 

 

So what height more is he above the road in the Kamiq and is it 10mm less than he could have been if they had all models at the launch?

Pump up and down a seat height can get you higher, and view blocked by the top of the screen if you are not vertically challenged.

I've seen it as an option on the Kamiq but not the Scala...

 

I've had "heightened suspension" on my last 2 Octavias and I'm very pleased with the performance and outcome.
I'ts not only the ride height You get ! The better protection of suspension parts is clear plus, together with tuffer
parts as as dampers, springs and roll-bars.
The geometry is some what different and must be considered when doing an Alignment !
On my Octavia's they must chose "2UB-chassie" to get it right !

Forgott to tell that also the protection of the Engine and transmission is many times better than the standard .
On the Octi2 (1ZE) it was made from 2<3mm steel, like on rallycars, really Heavy and sound prooved.
