My daughters 10 plate Fabia II 1.2 TSI has a persistent p0441 error code being set every two journeys, after around 5 to 10 mins of driving. This means the warning light on the dash activates after two faults i.e. 4 journeys.

It does not affect the cars performance in any way. This looks like a duty cycle test of the EVAP system which is failing. The EVAP valve and the Charcoal Canister have been replaced (as charcoal found in the original valve), and I have used a hand vacuum pump and gauge to test for any leaks in the pipework, but found none.

I can't see any pressure sensors on the fuel tank side of the valve,  and there is appears to be no feedback wiring on the EVAP valve as it is two pin.

So my question is, what sensor(s) is the ECU using to detect a purge flow issue from the EVAP control system on this 1.2 TSI?

This might help me track down any defective part, new or old

Might be a false accusation caused by e.g. a brake servo vacpipe leak; have you inspected that? They tend to split/crack at the terminations of the hard plastic pipe sections.

Thanks for the info. I will have a look at the brake servo vac pipe at the weekend when there is some daylight.
