Featured Replies

Hi all,

I hope someone can dig me out of a hole !

I have lost my long coding for my abs if anyone can help

2010 - 1.6TDI Fabia

Chassis - TMBFJ25JXB3044707

Abs - 6R0 907 379 AB

Thanks Jeremy

Ours has the same ABS p/n and the long coding is 400100DB007200B3022500EA00DA00000000. It might help you get back up and running.

What scan tool are you using? And what problem were you originally trying to solve?

I'm using Vcds, The car had a been off the road with injectors out and when repaired and codes cleared down it has left a flashing abs light and the coding has been lost?

Strange - any fuses pulled/blown? The other thing to do is go through the long coding helper byte by byte and see what options you can enable there. After each byte see if you can commit the coding changes you've made up to that point: it might just be a single setting that's causing it to reject the coding, but when it does reject a coding change it rejects all changes made and falls back to what was previously stored.

You could try this code to start with, see if it accepts it, then as mentioned above go through the helper to check whats selected is right for your car.

Hi , I have been through the fuses and all are good. The helper option does not work on this unit so no further on but thank you anyway.

Hi, I tried the code with no luck and when I used the helper option it said not supported on the unit?

Is this a genuine VCDS setup your using ?

Are you using an official VCDS cable? Clones are unreliable and have been known to cause the kind of issues you're having.

Hi, I am borrowing it from a friend so thinking its possibly not if you think I should be able to do this.

I have borrowed the kit so may not be judging by this

What if anything does it say on the plug that goes into the diagnostic socket ?

Just messaged my friend and told it's a clone lead so if I cannot use the helper I will need to try and get the correct code.

So let me get this right ......

You cannot even login to the ABS controller ?

Hi , I have logged into the controller and put in security code, gone in to code change below the zeros and when entered it says invalid . When I use the long code helper button it says module not supported?

Hi , The further code supplied did not work as well but thanks for your time.

The problem "we" have is not being 100% if it's the codes not working OR the "copy" VCDS is not able to / won't do it.

Out of interest, has the car been driven at all ?

You know there's no need to use the security log in to access long coding?

TBH this sounds like a bad VCDS clone not working properly. It's entirely possible that the coding is actually fine on the controller. It would be worth your while seeing if there's someone near you with genuine VCDS who can scan the car and see what's actually going on. There's a thread in the diagnostics section with a list of people who have VCDS or similarly capable diagnostics who are willing to help out other members here.
