Kamiq recall

Featured Replies

Not had letter yet but my skoda app informed me of a Recall. Call prefered skoda service partner (Dealer) Could be something to do with the indicators

Hi

could you show me a screenshot of where you found it so I can check my Kamiq I have checked app but can’t find recall information

Or could be to do with 1.0TSI's 2018-2020

When Skoda / VW Group do 'Recalls or 'Recall Actions' they really should Recall Vehicles by contacting Registered Keepers and not run 'Skoda Secret Service Campaigns.

That is where your car needs to be into them or where somehow you find out, via forums / social media or word of mouth.

"Dear customer,
a recall campaign has been found for the entered VIN "

I wouldn't have been aware of this but for seeing this thread. Thanks very much.

p.s. The response to the enquiry could certainly do with being more informative.

2 more proper RECALLS  that might be relevant to some Kamiq members have.

Booked in with dealer. They said it’s the OCD control unit that needs updating what ever that is

@skoda1982

Best ask about the 'Recall Action' on some 1.0TSI's 2018-20 for issues with injectors.   so '24FQ'.

Sure it's not the OBD port (Onboard Diagnostics port) where the mechanic checks for faults. Thought OCD was for people who clean there car too much (Obsessive Compulsive Behaviour).

spelling mistake

The OCU Unit Recall shows as Safety Recall on the DVLA Site.

*** 10 months since called.***   That is quite a while for Skoda to do a 'Voluntary recall' if that is what they are doing even with Covid 19 in that time. that was March before it became relevant.

They should be contacting the Registered Keepers, the DVLA give them the Contact details,

the Dealership / Skoda system does not need to know who cars were sold / leased to.

Those not going to Dealerships should not be treated like Mushrooms.
