Horn replacement

Featured Replies

Hi all

I am looking to replace thr pathetic horn on my Octavia 1.6tds with a couple of Fiamm A80's. Has anyone done this? and how do I access the original horns to replace them?

TIA

Which trim level are you?  I'm fairly certain the dual tone horn is very similar to the FIAMM.

If you have a single tone horn, it might be better to find an OEM dual tone and do a direct swap.

It is a 14 plate 1.6 TDS estate. I believe I have to remove the bumper to get access

Not going to have the General Lee horns then?

The OEM twin tone is twin horns that will require additional wiring if the vehicle does not have it like mine.

Unless you know different and I really hope that you do as my horn tone is a total embarrassment.

Thanks for the tips. I have managed yo replace the oem horn with twin Fiamms without reoving the bumper. I think I will now try my hand at gyneacology!!

Just on a side point, the car i have now, Octavia mk3, is the first car i haven't changed the horn, im happy with it.

Have you got the horn yet?

Not going to fit a train horn then. As seen on YouTube!
