Octavia MK4 not approved for towing.

I don't own a MK4, but picked up on a statement from another forum that the Octavia MK4 has not been approved for towing. Apparently the VIN plate/car info plate shows 0KG for the GTW value and some tow bar fitters are ignoring this and still fitting tow bars.

 

Just thought I would give the heads up on this as it appears that some dealers are not aware of this.

Depends on the car. Standard iV can tow, vRS iV can’t.

Is it an iV one? Octavia iV has its own user manual, so I haven’t checked the rest.

I have read this some other place the Iv skoda has no anchor places to fit a tow bar because of the positions of the battery pack.
