Rear drive shaft - diff coupling

Featured Replies

Hi, I'm new to this forum. The coupling on my Yeti 2011 Elegance completely fell apart. My local indy garage cut the metal ring off and I have been driving without it for several thou miles including a two day trip to Edinburgh (from Dorset and back). Its a little tricky at around 2000 revs but otherwise OK. My garage says its a long job to replace it, so am interested in any workarounds to make the job cheaper.  Any further suggestions than the above thread?  The car has done 215k miles and just today passed MOT with only a broken drop link replaced, so I would like to keep her going!

Just over an hours work, 90€, i supplied the doughnut, cost about 100€, see earlier notes on system of work!

Thanks, I'll be sure to pass that price on to my garage before they start!
