Remap

Featured Replies

Anyone running a Stage 1 remap on there Skoda vrs mk 2? How did the engine cope with it and did you have any problems also how has it improved the car with your power etc? Thanks

Welcome.

Have you had the car long?

There are so many posts and threads on remaps and tuning boxes fitted to CAVE engines on a vRS from 2010-2012.

APR stage 1 was fine and REVO was pretty crap.

TMC & Blue Spark Tuning boxes were used by plenty.

?

So has your car got the original engine?

Or maybe a rebuilt or replaced one?

Has it had the breather mod and software upodate or more than one software update?

Are you sure it is running the standard software now. Not already remapped?

?

Is all well with it and not an oil user, good spark plugs and coils fitted now?

?

Is your DSG fine and without issue?  Is it original and as left the factory, has it had Service Campaign '34F7', is there a sticker in the boot?

RTMG mate offer the best stage 1 map, I’m stage three on stock internals running water methanol, cars are good for around 200-220 bhp without many supporting mods just some more aggressive timing and upping the injectors , consider spark plug/ coil pack upgrade before remapping

As said above, You'll struggle to find someone who know TSI's better than RTMG.
