Meta Ray-ban Wayfarer Smart Glasses.

Featured Replies

I got a pair and thought i had made an error and my Smart Mobile did not support them even though i had the app and they paired and Bluetooth Connected.

I actually called to arrange returning them and then the charger case must have had enough charge, the glasses as well and things started happening and an update went to the glasses and my phone when i connected to wi-fi.

They are quite amazing.  Hands free and voice activated.  Just ask Meta to take a picture, start videoing, live stream, make a call, it reads txts to you, & turn on music as requested,

answers questions via Ai lol.

I am going to have to be vary careful what i say or ask when they are out of the case and turned on.       I am stone deaf in my left ear yet i hear perfectly what comes from the speakers in the arm of the glasses.

Perhaps change your username to Joe90? 😏

More like Ethan Hunt. He wore smart specs in Mission: Impossible.

Ethan or Isaac?

Sorry Root, I could not resist the chance to get that joke in but it was not aimed at you.

I like the idea of using them as a hearing aid also for recording in those rare occasions when you wished you had (it would take me 10 minutes to get to the right place on the phone) also that you have to use a speech command to record would automatically inform the other person which might well recover the situation.

How much are they?

£280.  But i have Ray-Bans that had retail prices at half that but were bought during sales.

Worth every penny IMO.   The glasses / frames of just Ray-bans are not.

Really very handy but so far i have not found how to put the pictures across to e-mails but to WhatsApp, Facebook and that kind of socials is easy but not what i want to do.

A 'Twisted' 90 taken using the specs.    "Hey Meta" take a picture.  or "Hey Meta video.

Are these new features applied to your older glasses by software update?

@J.R. Yes, you apply it by bluetooth from your phone when in the app.

There are different functions available in different world regions.

You can disable or not enable many variousfuntions.

I have actually not got access to META fully with my glasses as some Security Update took place with my phone and the App & glasses say not compatible.

I still use them as headphones for calls, radio bit can not transfer pictures taken to my phone.

I will see if i can get full function back when i have another update with my phone.

As it is there are many issues with this product and forums supporting users.     Problem is the systems Google/ Gmail, Microsoft, Hotmail / Meta, Facebook, WhatsApp.
