setting up two keys with Vag-Com

Featured Replies

Hi and thanks for look at this,

I have just got Vag-Com, and was setting up the Auto lock at 10 mph which I have done ok,

But Have found that one of the keys have stopped working the central locking, I have been into the software, found the place to set the keys up, but it will only accept one key, and not two.

What Am I doing wrong ?

this may be wrong in your case but .........

my cars had a new central convience unit ,and only 1 key was coded to it.

to get the other one working i put the one that worked into the ignition and turned it on. not started. put the other none working one in the drivers door lock and press the buttons.low and behold it coded the key in the door.

ive not tried this on a skoda, but if the key was already programmed (and this works on other makes anyway). stick key in the ignition, turn it round one position and press the unlock button on the key at the same time. if this works you should hear the central locking click. take the key out, exit the vehicle and press unlock then lock.

It might not work on skodas but has worked on many other cars and of which the garage would charge £50 quid for a 30 second job.

Have you inadvertantly attempted to code the keys and deleted one of them?

You can register the remote without VAG-COM but if you need to adapt it tp the immobilisor you'll need your 4 digit skc.

Delete the remotes in the convenience system adaptation chanel 00 and the set both up in channel 01.
