Bought a genuine fabia cc kit for my mates car so I wouldn't have to cut and solder the standard kit that I have used several times in the past.

Got the kit the other. Most stuff just plugged in until I got to the 'white' wire. The instructions stated that it plugs into pin 10 in the T11a plug that's in the firewall.

I hunted and hunted and I cant see where the darn thing is supposed to go. Have found the group of connectors in the firewall but according to the instructions is supposed to plug into a place that already has a wire in.

I've read the 'how-to' on fabia-vrs.com that covers wiring if using the standard kit. It talks about post 05/2004 fabia's and how the white wire to ECU mod can be done differently.

Can anyone enlighten me about this mod. I would rather not cut and solder anything I dont need to.

I fitted this kit to my 2001 TDI. I too couldn't find this conector and I ended up doing the cut into on of the wires into the ECU. The guy on here (STU?) said that the conector is there but I couldn't see the darn thing. On the plus side, once going it is completely OEM (as it should be!).

If you do end up snipping in, solder the join and use proper heat shrink or self amalgamating tape to make it all look nice and professional.

hi im doing the retrofit cruise on my fabia vrs but having alot of difficuilty finding the t11a terminal on the bulkhead any help would be much appreciated.

I've already posted on another thread so apologies if I'm repeating myself but my problem might enlighten someone else here!

I've just fitted the cruise control and had to remove the whole facia to get to the bulkhead. However, I plugged the white wire into pin 10 on the T11a and it isn't working, so am I right in thinking I should have used pin 6 on T11b? My car is a 2005 VRS if that makes any difference?
