Okay, so we all know that a significant number of parts and components on the Skodas, Seats, VW's and Audi's are the same.

But is there a definitive list, or part of a list? or perhaps peoples knowledge?

For example an old Land Rover 90 or Series 3 could use a montego alternator - a striaght swap and the result was alot better output!

So what about the VAG group?

headlight sprayer system on all skoda's the same as VW? or is the headlight spray system on the passat the same as Superb but different for an Octavia?

I think that a list, or helpful advice would be useful to all...

A couple of obvious ones that are well documented on here are:

Golf Mk 4 Sunglasses holder - fits straight into a Fabia.

SeatSport Momo front Strut Brace for Ibiza - fits Fabia.

VW Touareg torch - fits into cigarette lighter socket of all VAG cars.

Seat Arosa / VW Lupo double cup holder - fits Fabia with minor adjustment.

Its most for the felicia (pickup).

There should be like a list that could be altered by members of this forum. Add new things and change it when you want. There is an enormous amount of knowledge out there but its difficult to find it.

The electric window switch panel that opperates all electric windows and door locks from the drivers door is in a load of VAG cars such as the Passat B5 from 1997 to 2005, Ford Galaxy, Skoda Octavia, Audi A4, I'm sure there are more....

I've seen a VRS gearknob and gaitor fitted to a Passat B5 on ebay so that must work.

The headlight spray pump on the 2000 Passat B5 is the same as the 2003 Polo 9N - so that seems to have been made common across a lot of cars.

I'm pretty certain the Audi R8 uses the same Hazard Lights button as the fabia...

A VW Polo or Gold rear aero wiper will fit a Fabia with a bit of a modification, (sand down the centre cover a bit). It is strange that Fabia drivers want the Polo aero wiper and Polo drivers want the solid Fabia wiper.

The intake tubing from a Ibiza Cupra PD160 will fit a lot of engines. I'm sure that the wheels from VAG cars will be inter-changeable.
