I have recently bought an Octavia Lauren and Klement.

Can anyone tell me what L&K stands for. Any info would be great.

That website is badly written, they spelt Laurin as Lauren and used the name Skoda before they say they were bought by Skoda Works? :confused::confused:

Vaclav Laurin and Vaclav Klement founded Slavia bicycles and motorcycles, later badged L&K, then in 1905 made their first car, the Voiturette Type A.In the 20's they merged with the Skoda works and all cars built until 1930 wore Skoda and Laurin & Klement badges.From 1930 all wore Skoda badges.

The next car to weara n L&K badge was the Felicia back in 1995/6, then the octavia from 2000 onwards and Superb a few years later.

I had a novel idea 17 years ago when my daughter was born - name her Estelle after a Skoda, so I did just that.Now I have 2 boys also, one is called Laurin, the other is called Klement. (Yes, I do have a very understanding partner - she has drawn the line at me calling any future kids Roomster or Yeti though!)

100 hatch's - 2 others on here. 1.3 skoda

But they all had full leather trim, proper all leather. Apart from carpet and roof its leather.

I used to sell the Abrex models, but the UK distributor stopped getting new stock so i packed it in as Abrex in CZ wanted too large an order for me to commit to.Im car_brochures_for_you now, just concentrating on car brochures and the odd Skoda related stuff.

My ex-partner was something of a Czech-o-phile and actually has a degree in Czech, despite being Cheshire born and Lancashire bred - and she told me that a better translation of Skoda is 'pity'.

Saw one of these in Morrisons carpark in Darlington on Thursday 30/06/11, had a very nice chat with the owner, it was in damn fine condition and the gent was very pleased that i showed interest.
