17' Zenith's (RS) alloys on regular Estate?

Featured Replies

Have anyone fittet 17 or 18 Zenith's on a regular estate and might have pictures of it? And what about comfort / road noise? (225/45) I want new alloys on my ride since i only got the standard elegance 15'. I think they are too small and tight. I am also considering the pegasus and twisters.

Suggestions anyone?

Not an estate but give me a couple of weeks and I will tell you what the difference is :D

I've got a set of 17" Zeniths I'm thinking I've sold a bit cheap :rubchin:

I fit mine today and the only bad point is the road noise.

The car is sitting better on the road and the look is nice too.

Confort is the same (I have the eibach springs:thumbup:)

If you want pictures with my car (not estate) let my know.

My car is not the estate but I got standard springs and got the 18s on them. Makes a big difference to looks, comfort is the same as well, apart from it doesn't soak up pot holes and you have to be more careful when mounting the curb.

Never once regretted changing mine!!

Pics always welcome :D My Octy is not lowered...mayby later if i get the cash, but now I am unsure about the zenith's. If it will be too weird on a regular estate and if i should consider the Pegasus / Twister alternative instead. I can get a brand new set from my local Skoda dealer fitted with Michelin 225/45 R1 Pilot Primacy for around 9000,- DKR, which would be around 850-900£

It's not a great picture but you will make an ideea

irin: is it lowered, is it 17 or 18' ? :) And how about the road noise that you mentioned, is it really that bad ? Looks great.

Looks very well. The wheels really give it a lift.

Yes it is lowered and the wheels are 17'

The road noise , after coule of hours I got use with it . It is because the tyres are wider and the surface of contact with the tarmac is extended.

Is the Eibach's the "orgiginal" RS springs? And how much would they set me back? Thanks alot for your picture Gula faran :)

Here is a pic of my hatch on standard springs with 18"s.

Not really great pic quality. Took it when I first put them on!

looks great vimto2000. :) I might have to consider new springs as well. Dang, wife is going to strangle me....

Is the Eibach's the "original" RS springs? And how much would they set me back? Thanks a lot for your picture Gula faran :)

No; Eibachs are not the RS (vRS) spring; they are similar to the 'Sport' accessory springs.

RS is lowered 10mm from Standard (Elegance, Ambiente etc.) Eibachs and Sport springs lower by 30mm from Standard (i.e. 20mm lower on RS ).

OK?

There are a lot of second hands RS springs on the market. I´ve got mine for free when a friend lowered his RS.
