| I'm heading over to Germany in late May for a wedding. Think I've got a good excuse to call in at the 'Ring on the way home....... Whilst I been there a few times, I've not ever needed accommodation nearby - until this time! Any recommendations? |

| Try Edgar Steffens at Gasthouse Muhlenharte. He speaks great English and does everything to make you feel welcome! Place has a nice dining room, TV room and great views (situated within the circumference of the ring in a village called Herschbroichm about a miles wander from karrusell) and the rooms are clean and well tendered. There is garage space for tools if need be and its very, very affordable! |

| Hi hotel Sonnehof IMO is easily the nicest around the 'Ring'. Sonnenhof Nürburgring, Business, Wellness, Gastronomy - Hotel Sonnenhof 4 Stars Nürburgring (De) I've been going to the Ring since 1993 and tried many different local hotels and this one is the best IMO. Good Luck Lance |

Lance is not a happy bunny!! For the 3rd time this year I've had to postpone a Ring trip for things out of my control. Now planning to go over the weekend of 16/17 June. You guys have a great time and be safe. Lance

. Will see what it's like on Sunday. Lance - keep an eye out for a silver 53 plate Furby vRS, Xenons, and just so it stands out of the crowd, a 'Ring sticker on the tailgate....... If it's peeing it down too much I may just spectate Joolz

| Ric, Turned up late on Sunday and saw you on a hot lap . There were some very quick cars - including a Brit registered Carrera GT being driven 'Properly'. Jethro Bovingdon in the Evo Mag M3 seemed to be having a blast too. Time was short and track was so busy I didn't venture out this time - Have now just arrived home after a 1300 mile round trip. Will probably be back over again in the late Summer.Joolz |

He was also at the Ring on the Sat & Sun. Gald you has a good time. I'm going over 22nd-25th June, ferry & hotel booked....am definitely going this time!!!!! Lance |

| Do Spa run public days or do you need to book a session with a 3rd party organiser? If so who? I'm putting together a trip to the ring but it seems as though Spa is better for getting serious numbers of laps? So will look into doing it on the way down / back. What would you advise? |

| take a look on here , this is the company i used when i was at Spa last Tuesday , the Mitsubishi Lancer register organised it though Spa Race Track and Circuit Information for Car and Bike Track Days i was lucky though , as not only was i at the Ring on a trip organised for me , but the Spa track day was on as well so was an ideal stop off on the way back , also lucky in the respect that it was very cheap , £180 Spa is about 70 miles away from the Ring , 200 miles from Dunkeque ferry port you will get lots of laps in , i did over 50 , but the weather can/will be dodgy , it was wet all morning last week , drying out in the afternoon to a full dry circuit by about 4pm

I can't offer any advice on Spa as I know nothing about it other than where it is. However I have done in the region of 25-30 trips/weekends to the Ring over the years and can advise that for quality 'Ring' time, it's best to include some midweek dates, or go early/late in the season. I've been late March, mid Oct and late Nov, and virtually had the track to myself. In fact I have done a few laps during these dates and not seen another car/bike at all on the track. The problem with this is of course the unpredictable weather, however this does seem to be a gamble anytime in the Eifel region. Lance
