| Well hopefully I'll have a working Dragon tuning box for the day. Looking forward to see what times I can post with it fitted. Still after that elusive 15.something after finishing last year on 16.03 secs. The tuning box should see to that....... |

| morning all.. I did go in the end.. infact I'm still here lol, decided not to run my car this time due to clutch issues and one of my cooling fans lunching itself.. good to see refro representing the czech corner putting in some very consistant times.. some of the other hardware here is just scary.. hayabusa engined gokart, some mad bikes with turbos and nos. and even a bentley gt! it was fookin freezing overnight and loz wasn't happy about me trying to steal those heatpack things lol! I've learnt some valuable lessons too.. bring more clothes and get a new tent!! all in all has been a good weekend its definitely better at night.. better still after a few jars - ill definitely be at the next one!

| On a strip with little grip I got a 15.87 @ 86.5mph best run. I've just been looking at my times and just this moment counted that I did 31 runs in total during the day........... My previous best was 16.03 in my car when it was standard, I ran with the dragon tuning box yesterday which obviously helped. 15 runs yesterday were under 16.1 secs, but there was very little grip off the start. I'll go back later in the summer when the weather will be far more helpful. Knowing what my car will do I should get close to 15.5 secs with some more grip. I had fun the whole day, took quite a few scalps, including a Mk3 Golf GTI 16v, XR2i, Nova 2.0 16v, BMW Z3, Mini Cooper with JC works tuning & a remapped Grande Punto 1.9jtd Sporting (claimed 160hp). There were others no doubt, but those are the one's I can remember. There were so few people running I was taking regular breaks, and still got 31 runs in, using a 1/4 tank of diesel. Apart from the cold weather it was an exceptional days entertainment. I managed to skin a few faster cars off the line, including an Impreza who only got past me in the last 100 yards. Nice to meet another Briskodian, NeoVR, and to race so many different people, though towards the end of the day people were defintitely avoiding me in the queue, must not like loosing to a diesel. |
