Been checking the route from my "hotel" to the Pod.... 30 miles and it says I'll do it in 1 hour 2 minutes. The AA routeplanner obviously doesn't know me very well.

Shifty? Meet up on the A14 outside Kettering?

Edit: Arrow marks a good spot. I'll be coming down the A6 from there.

South Leicestershire - Just north of Market Harborough on the A6. Village called Kibworth which is where I grew up and a lot of my relations still live.

I say I can do the pod in 35 minutes from there. Bollox to 1hr 2 mins. (I know the roads very well, if you know what I mean )

Ok well as I started the thread, i had better say whos going from my 3:
Steve with a Rapid
Harry with a 1.8T Estate
and Rob with a Vrs Fabia (mods include a towbar)

So lets make 12 hrs of 1/4 action (weather allowing) and for those staying more on Sunday!

I'm afraid I've got football training till 1pm Saturday but I might pop over in the afternoon. If Boyced gives directions to my house, I'll give directions to his
the wife has just read this thread and says she is going football training as well
I can let you all know what the weather's like though - I'll just stick my head outside Friday night and Saturday morning. I'll post it up Sat morning at 7.30am.

Look out for speed camera vans on Gypsy Lane in Irchester - a favourite spot - just past the Country Park.

I have stripped out the car. How much does the tow bar weigh? should i take it of? Running down the fuel. I have realised i'm the heaviest thing in the car. I want to get down to 15 second this time.

OK - Just realised a possible faux pas on the horizon...

HOW MANY WISH TO STAY ON FOR THE EVENING'S ENTERTAINMENT?

It costs £10 for RWYB entry and £20 for Running on the strip.

BUT, if you want to stay for the evening, you have to pay £20 to get in to RWYB on the door, or £15 in advance, with £1 booking ticket.

ANYONE STAYING FOR THE SHOW AS WELL?

So how many people are going now? What time are you all getting there and planning on leaving?

Getting there for 8.30 / 9am. Not sure when the runs will be. Will try to get in as many as possible.

Its the evening thing that worries me now. As we can all save £4 booking a ticket in advance if people wish to stay for the dragsters in the evening. I would like to, but not going to on my tod.

I think there's 4 or 5 others going now, maybe more. But its this "saturday night special" thing I need to clarify (after all , its the topic subject for this thread...)

What about a meet up beforehand?

Anyone know where the nearest services are?

Also doubt I'll be able to stay late - but will be there most of the day
