| I've always used motorbike helmets on track days, as I'm a biker myself. I've never had any issues with the organisers - often a new clean bike helmet is most likely safer than a hired one on the day ![]() Although personally, I'd go for an open faced one. Full face helmets will keep you a bit too warm in the heat of the moment ![]() edit: moved to track day section ![]()

| I picked up the Sparco pro Jet from rallynuts, which has a nomex lining and is BS and FIA Approved should you think of taking it more seriously. rallynuts.com : Sparco Pro Jet White Helmet ![]()

| Some update. Bought the helmet, as some said the closed faces one gets quite hot aftera few laps but not as bad as i have expected ![]() Just came back from the track, and skoda drives quite ok, but a bit to soft for a track! Bridgestone Potenza what i have now on are quite crapy! Feels like you are riding on a jelly. So i gueass Toyos are a must. Break also seemed quite weak and faded quite fast. But power was plantly, actually i have some changes that brought it up to 248bph. So an Ok track car but i wonder how long would it last, it did not smell so good at the end ![]() |

| I have a Peltor full face. ![]() I prefer full face as if you do stuff it badly it prevents glass shards hitting your face (been there, done that!).

| I use a motobike helmet, but my old Kiwi disitegrated last week. I have just aquired a brand new Shark Butterfly which looks a bit gay but it's a really good helmet. |
