  1. Glad you got there in the end. Yours must be a little different to mine or mine came off without me noticing. I've bought a vacuum pump to change the oil as I don't change the filter every time and it makes the job easy when just changing the oil.
  2. Hi By Sump guard you mean the plastic engine under cover, like if you were changing oil and filter. When I did mine I just undid all the fasteners you've listed and pulled it down and backward so it came off the bumper edge. I didn't notice any plastic plugs. Mine just fell off at the back when the fixings where all off. Only slight hiccup I had was having front of car high enough to get the cover clear and out. If its not been off recently may just need a sharp tug ! Unless newer or older ones are different to mine (21) model year.
  3. Sounds like I was barking up the wrong tree as they say ! In my defence I had a bad experience years ago with a Mazda 6 diesel that used to dilute it's oil but that's another story.
  4. For me it don't seem to make much difference to fuel consumption my average has stayed at about 37 mpg but its all short runs I do in winter with 8k a year total
  5. Costco on offer C/C 3 sport 225/40/ 19Y 93 XL £659.97 Great price I think.
  6. Hi high oil level on a modern Diesel is often a sign of failed regeneration of exhaust particle filter. This leads to diesel in engine oil and increased oil level and corresponding reduction of engine lubrication which will damage engine if ignored. Best change oil and take note of new oil level and monitor. Get someone to carry out a scan of fault codes.
  7. Yes I had a set of Michelin C/C 3 sport fitted last year and the difference is like night and day. Standard tyres from the factory had poor traction and road noise. But I did get 35K out of the Bridgestone's with a some left when I changed them.
  8. Sounds like you backed a winner and that bumper was a very reasonable price.
  9. Wow every day is a school day just as a matter of interest is it painted and how much, hope all goes well Dave
  10. Hi David Welcome to the club my car got damaged on the lower part of the bumper like yours but it's supplied as a complete bumper with a price to match £800 ish. It's about an hours job to remove and you need to remove the back lights (very easy to do). Unclip behind these then screws along bottom edge and remove some screws that attach the lower ends of the two rear splash guards. Then disconnect the fog light and n/s reflector and parking sensors and fit these onto new bumper. As mine wasn't to badly damaged I just had a smart repair carried out !

Save your money and change garages you'll not come to any harm !
  12. Hi some of that may polish off with T Cut. I never found the paint code but I got bloke who did a smart repair. He went to local car paint supplier who scanned the bumper and matched it.
  13. Thanks for that Ootohere so its not my bumper colour. Hats off to you ! As usual you are the man. In fairness to the parts man who gave me that info he just saw it in body parts and thought that could be the colour of the bumper but now we all know different.
  14. Thanks Chills here's one I prepared earlier and when I spoke to local parts man at Skoda Dealer he said it's called Grain Silver
  15. Hi just asking if anyone knows the paint code for my Karoq rear lower bumper it's Dark Grey Its 21 model year SE-L 1.5 car is Silver but don't think that matters, kind man tried to reconfigure it !
