Have a look on Brisky at the watch thread, my Omega is on there. To echo what has been said, have a good look around and decide what you like the look of, set yourself a realistic budget and stick to it - but you don't have to spend it all - there are some very nice watches from as little as £150 and you might find you end up buying two or three watches you really like at around £350 - £500 instead of one watch at £3k you sort of like but bought cause it was your limit.

When you do buy your watch(es) make sure you post pictures in the aformentioned watches thread.

Oh, and one other thing, make sure you buy from a reputable retailer, there are some very good fakes on the market these days and you might find yourself getting a "bargain" only to find out it is a copy and the seller has disappeared, as a general rule Omega, Rolex and Breitling (amongst others) are not sold at 20% off in the January sales so if a watch is a couple of hundred quid less than other sites be wary.

£314 - WTF, that certainly hurt the pocket after a holiday, but good to hear its back in one piece. Didi you have any queries from the parents? If you get time. I'd appreciate some video of my car - just to see how bad the smog really was! My email address is pat_mcgrath@mac.com. Zip-it, squash it or whatever is easiest for you, but no rush. I managed to lose Adele coming through customs, thank feck!! Talk soon, Pat. ps - Sorry I'm so late replying. I was at my daughter's graduation ceremony this evening (BA, Hons in Montessori teaching - good for her) and the after-dinner craic was too good to leave, although the bread was in short supply...

Hi Alan, Just a quick note to say how much I enjoyed your pictures and videos - the latter in particular with the sound tracks. A mammoth piece of work, well done. How did the car work out with the stealers? Hopefully at this stage the tyre and track-rod are replaced and you're motoring at 10/10ths again. It was good to met you and I enjoyed your company over the 10 days and I look forward to getting together again. Regards, the ever hungry, Pat.
