Will try and find out for you. Have found R56 MCS's are a bit odd when starting and at tickover! Seems too tappety, but as you say once on the move it's fine!

yes - they do have the timing chain+tensioner rattle from cold Wardy.

Found out its a full Milltek fitted and not just a CAT back. This does allegedly cause grief and needs a pukka remap to sort out!

    Oh yeah - with you now mate. Indeed - i noticed the smoked alloys - nice touch. How's the remap working out for you?
    I haven't done much to the car recently. Needs a good clean and polish. Also suffering a sticky drivers door handle - so i'll need to pop into the dealer for a check-up.

    Yeah i know - after having had a black car myself once - it's worse than white sometimes!! Just managed to clean mine last night after about 4 weeks being too busy and clocking up the miles. Took ages and the brake dust on the VRS seems to be a nightmare. Once clean though - i snow foam it once a week usually and that does the business! I use Rain-x on the windows - but that stuff you use on the paint work is a bit scary!!! Cheers, Ste.

    I used to get a few responses to waves/flashes in my mk 1 silver vRS but havent seen many new ones about. I'm always washing the bloody the bloody thing! Thankfully I get days off during the week so I get chance to keep it shining!! I once had a black car and that was terrible, the white isn't as bad to be honest. I got some Car Plan seal & protect nano stuff (currently half price at motorworld £6.99) which I can only describe as a bit like rain x but for paintwork! It's the best £7 I've spent, really helps in keeping it clean. I've done the whole car including the glass. Works a treat. Will

    I guessed the owner of the rather smart looking vRS with the cool number plate who I saw on Baildon Road the week had to be on here! Nice to know I'm not the only briskodian from Baildon on here. I own the new white vRS K2WAC, you may see me round the village some time. Happy motoring!
