What should we do about our Octavia?
Thanks everyone. They said the lease could be extended and now say it can’t. So we didn’t expect to be in this situation.

What should we do about our Octavia?
Lovely car customed to our spec but the leasing company won’t extend the lease. 27,000 miles April 2018 230 petrol vrs estate Corrida red Extras front and rear beepers Front and rear heated seats Electric boot Good to excellent condition Skoda finance will put it in bca auction or sell to me for £20,900 That is very high. What is likely auction sale price it will achieve? What are bca and other likely selling costs? Anyone had success in making Skoda finance an offer they accepted?

Help needed identifying missing foam part after smash
Can you explain why please? As it was left in parts in a garage for a few weeks I wondered if this could affect the electrics? The bonnet and drivers side panels were off. For some reason the tyre pressures on all 4 tyres were in their 20s when I got it back too - no idea why they did that. Realised I no longer use money so had to use a pathetic old foot pump to pump them up - not pleased.

Austin7 I will use some of your words back to the repairers and insurers - ‘back to the state in was’ does sum it up. Cheers

Help needed identifying missing foam part after smash
The insurers were dragging their heels if we looked around and this one was their preferred provider for VW/Skoda. I have never been in a crash before so just used theirs as I wanted the car back asap. I will be more insistent now I have experience! To add insult to injury I got given a Ford Kuga courtesy vehicle that stank of dodgy cigarettes.

Help needed identifying missing foam part after smash
Thank you for this diagram. It may be number 37? a bung? 🤣 This photo shows the missing ‘bung’ the first time I got the car back. Can you spot the repaired side? They also painted the inside of the panel blue so whilst doing a re-spray I asked them to change it so it matches the other side, which they did. So that was good. But hopefully you can see why I am linking more fumes through the vents with this part missing. After all it’s job I am presuming is to support the bonnet hood and create a barrier for fumes (the latter I got from googling what their purpose was and something came up on a Ford forum). Thanks to everyone for replying. It’s been so frustrating and time-consuming. Any advice gratefully appreciated. Will be tackling the repairers again tomorrow.

Help needed identifying missing foam part after smash
Elderly neighbour pulled out of their drive a few months back, straight into my Yeti. Nothing I could do as she was shooting out on to a single unsealed track towards me, whilst looking the other way to her right. She didn’t know I was there until she hit me! I had slammed on the brakes but she hit the Yeti’s front driver’s side. It was drivable but the washer bottle was scrunched and leaking so not road-worthy. The accident was deemed her fault by the insurers and off Yeti went to the approved garage. Firstly, the car had to go back for another respray but they never put back a foam pad/buffer they cut off before re-spraying the side panel. It was in the garage for more than a month stripped down (they had covid) and came back a better colour but still no foam pad and an intermittently broken back windscreen wiper. They can’t locate the ‘pad’ anymore, they don't have a part number apparently and they don’t think it’s needed. They don’t think they are responsible for the back windscreen wiper being faulty (it was working fine before). I need help from you lot with 2 things: 1. I want the foam pad back under the bonnet! I think the bonnet hood isn’t sitting correctly. Also I think there’s more engine fumes going into the cabin from the air vents. Where can I get one and what is it called? 2. What is going on with the back windscreen wiper?!? The spray always works fine but the wiper won’t come on and then randomly starts up! I finished a journey earlier today and tested again and it worked fine. Then tried later and only the spray worked again. Could it be their fault? It’s a 2010 reg (I was delighted the bumper was still available as it’s got the older round fog light holes) so can’t understand why a bit of foam is a problem. Photos attached of both sides to play spot the difference (the garage couldn’t?!!!) Anyone?
