Who would swap 18s vRS Zeniths for 17s?
As above. I'm wanting to put 17s on my vRS I place of the current 18s. Anyone up for a swap, I'm based in nottingham?
- Brake disc upgrade, worth it?

Coilovers
Sadly at that price range you will not havr the best coilovers by a large margin. At that price range I would advise looking at a B12 Bilstein suspension or an alternate good lowering spring matched to a Bilstein B8 damper. You often get people expressing how good cheaper coilovers are but that's typically because they won't have tried anything better. My advice would be buy the best premium product you can, in this instance a high quality spring and damper combo versus a cheap coilover

Red Octavia VRS mk2
What spoiler is it? Looks really smart! Out of interest, does the facelift TSI vRS use the same exhaust as the pre-facelift TFSI? I know the turbo is different but not sure if the outlet is the same.

Sorely tempted to convert my vRS into a race car
The problem is the Mini is really highly strung (252hp) and one mis-shift and its 2 grand to replace the head. I could replace the engine on a vRS for 500 lol and it will run 360hp with minimal work, cost and wear. I'm currently sat in the middle of power class at 225hp/ton where the limit is 240hp/ton. I can't get to that value without a turbo conversion, at which point t I'm in the next class and having to put ballast in the car. The Mini is quality though, it's just worth more in parts, hence the strip. Roll cages are rarely custom at this level unless the car hasn't got one available on the market, which in this case is where we're at. The cages are ultimately all built to the same design methodology as per Motorsports UK regulations. The Mk5 Golf for instance, there are about 10 cage manufacturers, each with multiple cage variants available, sat in the shelf ready to go. By way of update, I now know JP Cages can provide a 6 point cage for £1950 which includes VAT, design as its their first one, and installation. Should anyone buy a cage from them on the future, they can thank me as it will be cheaper since its then a designed and approved cage lol. My initial thoughts are to aim for Class A which is 240-300hp/ton. Realistically, i expect I could get the car to 1250-1400kg with me in it and with a TSI K04 Turbo conversion, I'll be in the region of 360hp which gives around 290hp/ton.

Sorely tempted to convert my vRS into a race car
I've been racing my Mini for the last few years but for some reason I have an urge to strip it for parts and convert the Octavia into a race car instead. Doesn't look like there is a cage available though and pending the cost of a custom job it may not be viable. Anyone know of one? This is the current race car

Gross train weight / Maximum Authorised Mass
Found out the answer, There is a sticker on the passenger side door sill. It has 2 figures, the first is braked towing weight (1900kg), the second is the gross train weight (3333kg) Just bought one, I need to get her in the scales now to work out a weight with fuel and me in it, then I can work out the spare capacity I have.

Gross train weight / Maximum Authorised Mass
Evening guys, thinking about coming back to a vRS after selling mine back in 2008. I would need to tow my race car every now and then, and am happy that the combined trailer and race car are below the braked towing capacity. My concern is what the maximum authorised mass or gross train weight is for the vRS, trailer and race car and all the stuff in the boot etc. I can't find it anywhere in literature or online is what the MaM or gross train weight is. I believe it may be one of the kg figures on the vin plates? I've attached an image of my mondeo, that shows the car has a maximum mass of 2170kg fully loaded and the maximum the overall weight (car + car contents +trailer+trailer contents) cannot exceed 3970kg. Thats of course assuming you have a licence allowing you to drive anything exceeding 3500kg, which I do. Can anyone advise? Ta
